Becoming Being

Becoming, Living, Being, Encounter is a multimedia performance about how order, life, and perception arise through evolving sonic and visual processes. The piece is informed by ideas in Gilles Deleuze’s A Thousand Plateaus and Kevin Kelly’s Out of Control. Rather than treating sound, image, and technology as separate layers, it approaches them as parts of a system that is always growing, interacting, and reshaping itself. Causality is understood as something fluid. It can thicken, branch, turn back on itself, or slip in unexpected directions instead of following a fixed chain of events.

Becoming Being, as the first chapter of the work, explores causality and emergence. Energy, matter, and relationships behave more like moving flows than fixed entities. Sounds interact in a grid of shifting columns and rows, creating larger fields of resonance. The listener encounters the moment when a simple vibration begins to behave like a network that can reorganize itself.
